FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you offer in-person or virtual therapy?
I currently offer virtual psychotherapy for clients across Ontario. Sessions can be attended from a private, comfortable location that works for you.
Do I need to know exactly what I want to work on before starting therapy?
Not at all. Many people come to therapy knowing that something feels off, overwhelming, or isn't working the way they want it to. Part of the process is figuring out what's happening and what you'd like to change.
How long are therapy sessions?
Individual psychotherapy sessions are approximately 50 minutes. The frequency of sessions can be discussed based on your needs, goals, and circumstances.
What approaches do you use in therapy?
My approach is practical, collaborative and trauma-informed. Depending on your needs, I may draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), parts work, mindfulness, and nervous-system-informed approaches.
Do you work only with men and first responders?
No. While much of my work focuses on men, first responders and professionals in high-stress roles, I work with adults experiencing a range of concerns including anxiety, trauma, burnout, relationship challenges and major life transitions.
How do I know if we're a good fit?
I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation so we can briefly discuss what you're looking for, answer any questions you have, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit.
